The George A. Smathers Libraries of the University of Florida is one of the largest university library systems in the United States. The system includes eight of the nine libraries of the University of Florida and provides primary support to most all academic programs.

SPECIALIZED was honored to be selected for this project and work at The University of Florida in Gainesville preserving and restoring the Judaica Suite at the George A. Smathers Libraries.

The project consists of historic interior finishes as well as exterior roofing, window restoration, terracotta and brick preservation and waterproofing.
Originally designed by world-renowned architect and artist, Kenneth Treister, this area contains several reading rooms with rare books, artwork and sculptures as well as his collection of rare chess sets.
